I was recently out with a friend who is looking for a career change. She made a comment that she had applied for an entry level HR position but couldn't stomach the entry-level pay of $47,000. I just gaped at here - I would love to earn that! I have another friend who spends as if she is earning big bucks but then can't afford groceries. She feels the pressure to keep up with everyone else, when it would be better if she just said "let's pick somewhere cheaper". This is so true. That's great! A little under 2 years ago I made the decision to make $60k a year. I thought it would take me 3 years of work and classes to achieve that. All it took was a job change and a new employer to get that job with the skills I already had! Goal setting is important. It keeps your career moving right along! GOOD FOR YOU! That’s great!
